Birthday Viet Nam

This year is really cool because I get to have two birthday parties.  I had an early party with my friends in Viet Nam before I went home to the US for the Christmas break.  When I get to the US I get to have another party with my friends there.

First everyone came over to my apartment for pizza.  Once everyone had arrived a bus picked us up to take to take us to the Laser Tag place for a couple hours.  There were 13 of us on the bus and we had a lot of fun.

When we got to the Laser Tag place, we went upstairs to play games while we waiting on the arena to open up.  They had an Xbox for us to play on and we have the place reserved for just us so we could hang out.

Beside the xBox they had other video games to play as well.  This is Mathew (USA) and Vicente (Chile) with Tara.

This is Tara (Netherlands) and Omaya (Canada) playing xBox

They  jump around a lot.

Me and Mohamed on the xBox.  Mohamed is from Sudan.

They had this cool fuel truck stuck on the ceiling upside down.

Once the arena was ready we got to play Laser tag for about 45 minutes.  Once that was finished we got a table full of snacks.

After snacks another 45 minutes of Laser Tag.  Unfortunately, I do not have pictures of the arena.  It was really cool.  Lots of barricades and obstacles, bridges and both upstairs and downstairs areas to shoot from.

Once that was finished we loaded back up on the bus to go back to my apartment for cake and presents.

Riding on a chartered bus with all my friends is a lot of fun.  Its not all strict like it is on a school bus.

We had trouble deciding on what kind of cake to get as there were too many option in the city.  So, I got three, two different kinds.  One looks like a blow fish or a monster, I am not sure which.  The other looks like a Teddy Bear.  I figured the girls would think that funny.  Better, the blow fish was some kind of chocolate cake with blueberries and whipped icing.  The Teddy Bear was a coconut cake with mango.

Finally, were the presents.  I got a lot of stuff.  Its amazing what you can find in Hanoi once you go looking.

The party was really fun and I got to have loads of friends over.  Now I look forward to my party in the US in a couple weeks.
